Frequently Asked Questions
These are some of the questions people may ask when they are deciding if Research Wingwoman is the right fit for them.
Is Research Wingwoman a full agency?
No. Research Wingwoman is a consulting service. Since 2013, Fordis Consulting has operated as creative, low priced alternative to traditional market research agencies. With this new advocacy-oriented service, I help you design, refine, oversee, and interpret research, but I do not sell fieldwork or mark up vendor services. That keeps my advice objective and centered on what you actually need.
Can you replace my need for an agency?
Often, yes. Many projects can be handled with a mix of DIY tools and the right guidance. When it makes sense to bring in an agency or a panel vendor, I help you scope the work and choose wisely.
Do I need to know research terms to work with you?
Not at all. You can describe your situation in normal language. My job is to translate it into a research approach and explain what we are doing in a way that feels clear and comfortable. I've taught classes and mentored, and I offer the flexibility to learn as much or as little as you wish.
What types of projects do you help with?
Concept tests, flavor or feature prioritization, customer understanding, message testing, satisfaction surveys, in-home product testing, and more. If it involves primary research or putting questions in front of real people, there is a good chance I can help.
Do you analyze data?
Yes. I can help interpret results, highlight key findings, and connect them back to your original questions that drove the research. I can guide you to focus on the story and the decisions, not just charts. Depending on your need, I can offer options.
What if my survey is already live, and now I am worried about it?
Reach out. We can review what is happening in real time, you can share your screen, check data quality, and decide what changes, if any, are needed and still possible. And we can discuss what to do going forward or as damage control. It is always better to ask than to quietly stress about it.
Do you only work with certain industries?
I work often with CPG, food and beverage, wellness, and cannabis brands, but the core skills apply across many categories. Although most of my work is B2C, I have done B2B and research on services, not just products, in the course of my career. If you are trying to understand people and make better product or marketing decisions, we can probably work together. And if I cannot personally help you, I can recommend someone who can.
